"That trial status ends on April 30th," Simmons said. "Not doing so, not cancelling the agreement would automatically enroll the county into a full two-year term contract with Flock Safety at $25,000 per year." He requested the board add the item to the April 28 agenda and asked that the board vote on any cancellation so there would be a public record of the county’s decision.
Commissioners agreed to place the item on next week’s agenda and indicated they would ask Sheriff’s Office representatives to attend. The board did not take any final action on April 21; the next meeting is expected to include discussion and possible action.
