Apache Junction Water District board approves FY2026–27 budget schedule

The Apache Junction Water District board unanimously approved a schedule for fiscal year 2026–27 budget work sessions and public hearings at its April 21 meeting.
Director Mike Loggins recommended a special budget work session on May 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, a tentative budget public hearing on May 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., and a final public hearing and adoption on June 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., all at 300 East Superstition Boulevard.
A board member moved to approve the dates and locations; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll-call vote. Board member Johnson, Board member Cross, Board member Heck, Board member Seller, Vice Chairperson Schroeder and Chairperson Wilson all voted yes. The motion passed unanimously.
The schedule sets the public hearing timeline for the district’s tentative and final budgets and establishes opportunities for resident comment before the board adopts the budget.
