Kane County commissioners give informal backing to Old Fort Ranch development-agreement edits
The Kane County Commission informally supported edits to the Old Fort Ranch development agreement, directing County Attorney Jeff Stott to revise the draft (strike annexation language, permit transfer after hotel occupancy with notice, and modify mediation language) and forward it to the applicant and Kanab City before Planning & Zoning review on May 13.

Chair Gwen Brown and fellow commissioners reviewed a proposed development agreement for the Old Fort Ranch property (parcels 4-7-2-1 and 4-7-3-1A) with applicant Greg Wyatt during the April 28, 2026 meeting. County Attorney Jeff Stott and the commissioners proposed several specific edits intended to make the draft acceptable for review by Kanab City and the county Planning & Zoning office.
