County extends Caliber Cleaning contract five months while RFP proceeds

Lane Rose, director of facilities, requested and the commission approved a five-month amendment to Caliber Cleaning Services’ contract to extend custodial services through Oct. 31, 2026, while the county completes an RFP for cleaning services across Davis County facilities.
Rose said the amendment covers the majority of county facilities and comes with a stated payable of $27,701 per month beginning May 1, 2026. A commissioner moved to approve the amendment, the motion received a second and the commission approved the extension by voice vote; the chair recorded the vote as unanimous.
The extension is an administrative measure to maintain cleaning coverage during the procurement process; no RFP timeline, vendor-selection criteria or projected total contract cost for the RFP period were provided at the meeting.
