The Village of Beecher Board approved Ordinance 1453 granting a variance for 747 Penfield Street (the Thirsty Turtle property) to modify the rear-yard setback requirement in the B1 zoning district.
Trustee Stacy introduced and moved the ordinance, explaining the existing parcel would be unbuildable under the standard 30-foot rear-yard requirement and that neighboring lots similarly do not conform. The board voted by roll call to grant the variance.
The ordinance allows the property owner to proceed with the planned demolition and addition so long as the variance conditions are met and any permitting requirements are satisfied.
