Highway staff report winter operations, staffing changes and two LRIP awards for 2026 projects

Highway department staff told the Jan. 6 committee they have been focused on snow-and-ice duties, plan to order 5,100 tons of state salt and 7,000 tons of county salt, will seek a consultant to design two roundabouts, and reported LRIP awards of $473,000 for CTH F and $471,000 for CTH W; the committee approved prior meeting minutes by voice vote.
