Assumption Parish adopts RESTORE Act multi-year plan, re-advertises Marais drainage and opts out of state solar siting rules
The Police Jury adopted an initial RESTORE Act Multi-Year Implementation Plan for Bayou Chene maintenance and public comment, authorized CJ Savoie to re-advertise the Marais Area Drainage project with a $13,457.50 scope modification funded from project #93133, and passed a resolution to 'opt out' of Louisiana's statewide solar siting requirements in favor of the parish's stricter ordinance.

The Assumption Parish Police Jury unanimously approved several planning and land-use actions on Jan. 14, 2026, including adopting the RESTORE Act Multi-Year Implementation Plan initial submittal and directing a 45-day public comment period before final submission to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
