A resident, Cheri Gleason, asked the council during the April 9 public-comment period whether Fielding has rules limiting the number of beehives after describing a neighbor with many hives. The minutes state that state law allows one hive per 1/8 acre and that Fielding does not have a specific beekeeping ordinance; the minutes record that the matter could fall under the town’s nuisance ordinance and that the council will look into it.
