Commissioners praise Code Blue partners, adopt resolutions and ratify routine contracts

The board approved routine business including the March 3, 2026 meeting minutes and authorized payroll and vendor payments as submitted by county offices. Commissioners ratified several procurement items and agreements read into the record: a temporary easement for a bridge project with the Sedakog Joint Rail Authority (recorded in the meeting as a $500 ratification), a timber-sale agreement with PG Logging LLC, and a SkyLock LLC quote of $11,630 for upper-roof seam repair at the Administration Center. The board also approved a reimbursable court interpreter services grant application (recorded amount $44,962.82) and a copier maintenance/financing arrangement read into the record.
Commissioners unanimously adopted emergency-management documents — volumes one and two of the county Emergency Operations Plan — and accepted several resignations and appointments. The board accepted the resignation of Chief Clerk Nathan Savage as the county’s America 250 representative and appointed Craig Spect to that role effective April 7, 2026. Solicitor Roido introduced two resolutions; the board adopted R11-26 supporting a DCNR grant application for a county greenway plan and adopted R12-26, authorizing a suite of agreements and provider listings for human, senior and social services.
Under proclamations the board recognized National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (April 12–18), National Library Week (April 19–25), Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April) and Second Chance Month (April). Commissioners paused to present certificates and take photographs of recipients.
Before adjourning the board announced upcoming meetings including a reassessment public meeting April 15, 2026 in the Schmoken Area High School auditorium and a work session April 21, 2026. The meeting closed after a public commenter praised the county’s community service efforts.
