Weld County commissioners approve multiple procurement awards and contracts

Weld County commissioners on March 23 approved a package of procurement and contract items covering facilities, fleet maintenance and security technology.
Toby Taylor of the county purchasing office summarized the bids. The board awarded bid B2600020 for replacement of boilers, domestic water heaters and pumps at the Southwest Service Center to FRPHI Hydronics LLC for $97,217. "The low bid is from FRPHI Hydronics LLC and meets specifications," Taylor said.
Commissioners also approved bid B2600021 for fleet auto and equipment glass maintenance, recommending Native Auto Glass with a not-to-exceed amount of $100,000 after a committee review and scoring of proposals. "Native Auto Glass proposed the best solution and meets the county's needs," Taylor said.
The facilities department recommended procuring end-of-life and new security cameras and licensing through a state cooperative agreement (NASPO ValuePoint) with Long Building Technologies, doing business as Justice Systems Corporation, under a participating addendum. The board approved the contract in the amount of $139,192.88, citing Colorado cooperative procurement rules that exempt purchases from a separate procurement process when made under state or federal cooperative contracts.
Each award was moved and seconded by commissioners and approved by voice vote during the meeting.
