A Muslim member of the Georgia Senate used a personal-privilege floor statement to condemn a campaign video she said reduced Muslim Americans to caricature and stoked fear. "This video needs to be taken down and he needs to apologize," the senator from the 7th said, calling the clip "disgusting, hateful, [and] racist" and urging colleagues not to use fear of their fellow citizens for political gain.
