Commissioners adopt resolution reassigning authorized signatories; controller authorized to process payments

The Osage County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution on May 12 that establishes a new list of authorized signatories on county bank accounts and removes the former county clerk and deputy clerk from those signatory lists.
The resolution lists named officials who are authorized to sign on county depositories and accounts, including the county treasurer, deputy treasurer, register of deeds and deputies, sheriff and undersheriff, the executive assistant for the sheriff, the chair and vice chair of the board and the county controller, Anthony (Tony) Parrish. The text specified that persons not included in the new list would be removed from county accounts and vendor networks effective 05/12/2026.
The resolution also expressly authorized the county controller to effect financial transactions and affairs of the county pursuant to law, and to process and pay invoices, payroll, accounts payable and other county debts as approved by the commissioners; the resolution was to become effective immediately and be published in the county newspaper.
Commissioners said they would obtain the official stamp on the signed resolution and distribute copies to relevant banks. The motion to approve the resolution carried by voice vote.
Staff named for account access and contact details were discussed during the meeting; the board also asked staff to scan and share the final signed resolution with the controller to ensure he can act on accounts promptly.
