The change to C25 was presented as a clarification to align policy text with existing operations. "I just changed that language to reflect our current practices," the Superintendent/Administrator said, noting no other modifications to the February packet. The board voted to accept the February "update one" packet by voice vote.
The board also approved the recommended out-of-district transfer timeline for the 2026–27 school year. As recommended, the primary enrollment window will run March 9 through April 30; the district will review applications after its second count date (historically around Feb. 1) to make final acceptance decisions. The presenter said that if openings remain after the April window, the district will accept applications through the first count day for first-semester openings (Sept. 30) and through Jan. 31 for second-semester openings.
The presenter framed the schedule as operationally helpful for staffing and planning. "That helps us close out the year with a better idea of where we're going to be student-wise and help us with our staffing," the Superintendent/Administrator said. The board moved and approved the out-of-district transfer dates by voice vote.
