Harris County approves new memorandum with UGA Cooperative Extension
The board unanimously authorized the chair to execute a memorandum of understanding with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension clarifying personnel and payroll obligations for county extension services.

The Harris County Board of Commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding March 3 between the county and the University of Georgia System on behalf of UGA Cooperative Extension. County staff said the MOU clarifies what the county will provide for extension services and how extension personnel will be paid; the current arrangement dates from October 2020.
