Board authorizes Nelson County High softball-field construction documents for bidding as facilities projects progress

The Nelson County Board of Education on April 21 authorized the district to release the 100% construction documents for the Nelson County High School softball field and proceed to a public bid process, with construction contingent on award at the May board meeting.

Softball-field action: Staff presented the completed construction documents and requested authorization to release the softball-field project for bidding. The Board approved the motion by voice vote; staff said bids would be opened in May and, if accepted, construction could begin after the May board meeting.
