Dearborn County approves Revize contract to replace vendor’s sunsetting website platform

Ms. Hayden told the board staff reviewed four vendors (Vertical Studios, E-Gov Studios, GovStack and Revize), conducted demonstrations and interviewed county IT and other departments, and selected Revize, based in Troy, Michigan. Hayden said Revize proposed a three-year contract and cited an estimated $15,700 implementation fee compared with a roughly $30,000 implementation estimate from an alternative. Hayden said the annual maintenance and service costs discussed in the meeting were around $11,000 for the Revize contract; the meeting also referenced the county’s prior maintenance charge for the previous system as stated in the transcript.
Hayden said Revize can provide integrated calendars and a reservations application that would allow departments and boards to manage meeting-room and event reservations (the transcript cited Skedda as the county’s current reservation tool). Hayden said Revize staff provide training and phone support; county IT staff indicated they would work with the vendor during implementation. Staff told commissioners the data-export deadline from the incumbent vendor is October 31, 2026, and that the current provider is scheduled to be phased out December 31, 2026, with a target new live date of around Jan. 1, 2027.
After discussion about implementation timelines and vendor capabilities, a commissioner moved and the board approved selecting Revize and authorizing execution of the contract; the motion carried by voice vote. Hayden said implementation could take up to eight months and staff will schedule a test period before the site goes live.
The contract and implementation timeline are subject to final signatures and the county’s internal IT acceptance testing.
