Baker County holds first hearings on several rezoning and subdivision requests amid access and floodplain concerns
The board heard multiple first‑reading land‑use items: a small lot zoning amendment to allow an additional mobile home on Ruis Lane (staff recommended approval), a larger Warren Thompson rezoning that LPA recommended denial over road‑access concerns, and an industrial rezoning for development commission property. A subdivision on Simol Lane drew safety concerns from emergency services over unpaved access; LPA recommended approval of the subdivision contingent upon a variance and a maintenance agreement.
