Weston updates K–12 computer science plan as state revises standards
Weston staff told the Curriculum Subcommittee their districtwide K–12 computer science plan has been drafted and submitted to the state; staff flagged reporting discrepancies on participation, urged professional learning and cross-curricular integration, and said further changes will follow state-standard revisions this summer.

Beth Lancaster, Weston Public Schools’ secondary curriculum and instruction leader for science and technology, told the Curriculum Subcommittee the district formed a K–12 computer science committee in 2024–25, completed a crosswalk of existing curricula and drafted a plan that was submitted to the state department.
