Council member Lidell said visitors often ask for quicker, guided experiences at Lake Jackson and suggested the city pursue short boat rides or rental services from the city pier. He proposed issuing an RFP to find an operator and discussed adding a floating dock, operations area and storage on the lake’s left side near the swimming area; he suggested partnering with the community redevelopment agency (CRA) for infrastructure costs.
