The Furnas County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously May 12 to adopt Resolution 2026-5-12 to implement an automatic license plate reader (ALPR) system, after Sheriff Doug Brown presented the proposal. Commissioner Dennis Tegtman moved to approve the resolution and Commissioner Allan McCoy seconded; the board recorded Ayes from Mike Sexton, Allan McCoy and Dennis Tegtman.
