Service Safety Director Carrie Woody opened the Lancaster City Planning Commission meeting on Aug. 14, 2025 and the commission approved an open-space fee in lieu of dedication for a Metro Development LLC project.
Chasilyn Carter, a Community Development staff member, presented Case No. 2024.008.03 for a 13.833 +/- acre site at the northwest corner of Columbus Lancaster Road and Election House Road and said staff recommended approval of an in-lieu fee of $112,492.80. Carter noted the Park Board had approved the fee on April 2, 2025.
Planning Commission member Sherry Orlando moved to approve the fee; Planning Commission member Rick Wilkins seconded the motion. The commission voted unanimously to approve; Service Safety Director Carrie Woody carried the motion.
No speakers at the meeting raised objections during the recorded discussion. The commission took no additional action tied to funding allocation in the meeting record.
