October is Bullying Prevention Month, Round Rock ISD said in a district announcement encouraging students and staff to act when they see bullying. The district urged people to speak up if it is safe, offer support by sitting with or walking with someone and checking in afterward, and to avoid engaging in gossip, toxic group chats or online harassment. It warned that even a like or repost can fuel harm and suggested redirecting conversations or changing the subject when appropriate. The announcement pointed listeners to Round Rock ISD’s anonymous reporting system available at every school via QR codes near offices and libraries and on the district’s website, saying reports are quick and private. The district also advised calling 911 in an emergency and 988 for a mental health crisis.
