Think Together names Paramount Unified a 'Champion of Change' as expanded‑learning program grows

Think Together recognized Paramount Unified School District with its 2026 "Champions of Change" award at the board meeting on May 13 while presenting an update on after‑school programming in the district.
Eddie Garcia, executive director for Think Together’s Paramount area, said the partnership has expanded from 1,600 students at launch in 2023 to serving about 3,308 students to date in Paramount Unified programs. He described offerings that include STEM, visual and performing arts, high‑dosage tutoring, enrichment clubs and before‑school programming.
Garcia cited Think Together survey results to underscore program reception: roughly 91% of surveyed students reported feeling safe in the program and 90% said they have a caring adult in the program; parent surveys likewise reported high marks for staff professionalism and safety. "We're super proud to be able to provide services to all of your elementary and middle school programs," Garcia said.
Randy Barth, Think Together's CEO and founder, praised the district’s leadership and said expanded learning helps attract and retain families amid enrollment pressures.
Board members thanked Think Together for the partnership; one board member noted personal experience with the program at her elementary school and expressed appreciation for its site‑level staffing and coordination.
