The presenter told commissioners that counties in the 18‑county region generally work through the regional commission to prepare required updates and that Ware County has held more than the state‑minimum public meetings. The largest updates are to the work program, staff said, and the combined county‑city document runs approximately 127 pages.
The presenter said the regional commission will submit the plan to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for review; agencies typically provide suggested edits and a 30–60 day turnaround is normal. Staff emphasized the plan's role in qualifying the county for state and federal grants and said the county must keep the plan current to remain eligible.
Commissioners had no substantive opposition and carried the plan forward to the next step in the review process.
