The Scott County Board of Commissioners on March 4 approved a series of routine administrative actions, including a hand-tool reimbursement program for Highway Department mechanics, contract authority for stormwater engineering at the Transfer Station and the appointment of Steve Meyer to the River Hills board. The board also voted to table a disputed radio purchase for the Vienna Fire Department.
The meeting opened at 5:01 p.m. with President Greg Prince leading the pledge. Mr. Macintire of United presented the results of a countywide bridge inspection program, saying United inspected all 74 Scott County bridges and provided comparative materials to the board. Following that presentation, the board unanimously approved Resolution No. 2026-R-2, authorizing a hand-tool reimbursement program for Highway Department mechanics (motion by Vice President Randy Julian; second by Adam Bomar; vote 3-0).
