House hearing reviews Senate language authorizing transportation bonds, asks for CDAC and treasurer analyses
Legislative counsel told the committee the Senate added language authorizing the treasurer to issue Transportation Infrastructure Bonds (TIB) subject to annual legislative approval and directing AOT, CDAC and the treasurer to report on projects that could be bonded and on the prudence of issuing debt; committee members raised questions about timing, revenue capacity and long'term debt risk.
