The Limestone County Commission on May 4 approved routine fiscal and procurement items, including claims, contracts, equipment purchases and merit increases.
The commission approved claims totaling $476,231.73. It approved a contract with Tarco for maintenance of the sheriff’s program and a dumpster placement license agreement with the City of Athens. Commissioners also approved funds to purchase a loader for $286,462.35 and awarded two bids discussed in the work session — one for a boathouse (Cow Fort) and another for a Case tractor for District Two. A list of merit increases for county employees was presented and approved. All votes were unanimous.
The motions were described as standard business items; the commission recorded no conflicts of interest and had no public hearings on these agenda items. County staff will proceed with vendor contracts, purchase orders and payroll adjustments in line with the commission’s approvals.
