Ottawa’s portion of the project was estimated at about $43,000 plus roughly a $2,600 engineering fee; Troy Grove’s two‑block request was estimated at roughly $13,000 plus about an $800 engineering fee.
Significant appropriations included Resolution 26‑13, which allocates $1,500,000 from motor fuel tax funds to improve County Highway 21 (3.63 miles from Illinois Route 23 to County Highway 11) with hot‑mix asphalt and shoulder work, and Resolution 26‑14, which appropriates $550,000 for deck rehabilitation and a latex concrete overlay on the County Highway 32 bridge over the Fox River. Mr. Ernett said the bridge overlay is expected to provide 40–60 years of surface life.
