Burnet County approves multiple Emergency Services District board appointments

Commissioner Damon Beierle seconded the motion, and the court voted 5–0 to approve the package.
The court also approved appointments to ESD No. 10 and ESD No. 11. Commissioner Damon Beierle moved, and Commissioner Jim Luther Jr. seconded, to appoint James Shamard, Ned Ewart and Barker Keith II to ESD No. 10 for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2027; that motion passed 5–0. In a separate motion, Beierle moved and Luther seconded to appoint Garry Harrell and Opal Campbell to ESD No. 10 for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2026; the court approved that motion 5–0.
For ESD No. 11, Commissioner Luther moved to appoint Kenny Schnell, Eugene H. Broadway and Kenneth (Pete) Fuselier for terms through Dec. 31, 2027; Commissioner Damon Beierle seconded and the court approved 5–0. The court also approved appointment of Lurenda Henry (and listed Larry Max on the agenda) for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2026; that motion was made by Commissioner Luther, seconded by Commissioner Chad Collier, and approved 5–0.
The actions fill several local ESD board vacancies and will allow the districts to continue governance and oversight of emergency services in their respective areas. No further debate or public testimony about the appointments is recorded in the transcript. The court adjourned at 9:49 a.m.
