The Ector County Commissioners' Court on March 31 approved the construction budget for the new Juvenile Justice Center and added a $5,000,000 contingency to the project budget. County Auditor Tristan Marquez presented the budget; Commissioner Greg Simmons moved to approve the budget and add the contingency, and Commissioner Mike Gardner seconded. The motion passed 5-0.
