LeBlanc and several commissioners praised Hennen’s work, citing roughly 300 culverts replaced, more than 150 miles of road overlay and improvements, and more than 250,000 tons of waste received at the county landfill during Hennen’s first four years. Commissioners commended his responsiveness to constituent questions, grant successes and management of natural disaster responses.
The board conducted a roll call vote and approved Hennen’s reappointment unanimously. Hennen thanked the board and highlighted teamwork across departments that delivers public‑works projects.
The reappointment will run for another four years and staff acknowledged the statutory requirement for periodic reappointment.
