The board approved Resolution 2026‑19, authorizing execution of a supplemental funding agreement with FDOT for project number 439676‑1‑54‑01, extending the contract schedule for a paving project. Commissioners also approved Resolution 2026‑20, a supplemental funding agreement for financial project number 445819‑1‑54‑01, granting an 18‑month extension for a milling project; staff said DOT paperwork and bonds are in order.
On procurement, staff presented bids to renew county pest‑control and rodent services; three companies responded and staff recommended award to McCall Service. The board voted to approve the McCall contract for the county’s facilities.
Separately, planning staff asked permission to partner with the regional council to apply for funds aimed at improving Baker County’s FEMA Community Rating System (CRS) score; staff said moving from a CRS 10 to 8 could yield an approximate 10% reduction in flood insurance rates for affected residents. The board authorized the regional council partnership to submit the grant application; any grant award and match requirements would return to the board for approval.
