Board members emphasized that fidelity matters: Trustee Lockerbie asked whether the district could build oversight into the rollout so schools use the system consistently. Staff said the license is for all schools (elementary, middle and both high schools) and promised future reporting and teacher input after implementation.
The motion to approve the SWIS license carried by roll call, with trustees Hammond, Lockerbie and President Trivante voting yes (3–0). District staff said the system will be evaluated after one year with teacher feedback and data review.
