Midland County meeting certifies Nov. 4 constitutional amendment election results

At a meeting on Nov. 14, 2025, Midland County officials certified the results of the Nov. 4, 2025 joint constitutional amendment election, and approved the canvass by voice vote.

The Clerk presented two sets of reports: the election summary and a precinct-by-precinct report covering the constitutional amendment portion of the election and the broader contest. "I have presented to you the total number of votes for the joint constitutional amendment election that we just had on November 4," the Clerk said, and reported turnout for that portion as 16.22 percent.

Chair opened the floor for questions and then asked for a motion to certify the returns. The Clerk proposed certification. The Chair called for a voice vote; members answered "aye," and the Chair announced that the motion passed.

There were no other substantive agenda items discussed. The Chair moved to adjourn; the motion was seconded and approved, and the meeting ended at 10:03 a.m.

The canvass record and the precinct-by-precinct report were noted as available in the packet. The meeting did not record additional actions, amendments, or contested votes on the certification.
