The Centre County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on May 12 to adopt Resolution 6 of 2026, authorizing Chair Mark Higgins and/or County Administrator John Franek Jr. to execute applications, filings and related instruments for the county’s Public Safety Training Center Project.
Administrator John Franek Jr. presented the resolution and asked the Board to approve the delegation of authority to sign necessary documents to pursue project applications. The Board approved the resolution on a motion by Commissioner Amber Concepcion, seconded by Commissioner Steven Dershem.
The resolution delegates administrative authority for filings and does not itself appropriate funds or approve contracts for construction; subsequent project steps, funding approvals and procurement actions will require separate Board action.
