DuPage County extends NeoGov license while HR evaluates Dayforce

The DuPage County Board Finance Committee on May 26 approved a contract extension to continue using NeoGov applicant-tracking and onboarding software while county Human Resources evaluates whether Dayforce can provide the same capabilities.
Vice Chair Cahill moved a purchase order to SHI International Corp. for NeoGov licensing for the period July 1–Nov. 30, 2026, for a contract total of $58,743.44. Member Yu asked whether the extension is an interim measure while Dayforce is implemented.
Chris Clevinser of Human Resources responded that NeoGov "is a really strong platform that we have enjoyed using," and that the county will carry NeoGov for the short period while staff assesses Dayforce functionality. Clevinser said the extension is intended to give staff time to determine whether Dayforce’s applicant-tracking component will meet the county’s needs before making a longer-term procurement decision.
Why it matters: HR systems affect recruiting, onboarding and administrative continuity. The committee approved the short-term licensing to avoid service disruption while the county evaluates consolidating systems.
What’s next: Human Resources will continue the Dayforce evaluation and report back to the board before any longer-term contract decisions; the NeoGov extension runs through Nov. 30, 2026.
