Select Board sets fall town meeting for Nov. 16, 2026

The Boxborough Select Board voted May 11 to establish Nov. 16, 2026, as the date for the fall 2026 town meeting, with Nov. 17 reserved if an additional night is necessary. Town staff (Kelly) presented two candidate dates — Oct. 5 or Nov. 16 — and the board favored the later date to allow more time for planning, public hearings and planning-board articles.
The board also reviewed and approved the FY27 Select Board regular meeting schedule as presented. Members discussed venue availability for a potentially large town meeting (noting the Regency has limited availability and potential cost implications) and agreed staff will continue to check venue calendars; any decision to reserve a larger venue or request FinCom funding would be brought back for further discussion.
The motions to set the fall town meeting date and to approve the FY27 meeting schedule were both approved by unanimous voice vote.
