Chief deputy explained Lexipol is web-based, written by attorneys, and used by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement; the system supports monthly or customized testing and may help the sheriff’s office pursue accreditation. The contract will be paid from an identified grant fund. Commissioners approved the purchase by motion and voice vote.
