County planning staff presented a proposal to relocate the county’s land development regulations from Appendix A into the main body of the county code by creating new Chapters 29 (subdivision ordinance) and 30 (zoning ordinance) and amending Chapter 17 to remove references to the appendix. Staff emphasized that the reorganization is non‑substantive and is intended to make regulations easier to find and to reflect that zone and subdivision rules are ordinances under state law.
