The proposed language instructs departments to report and document EMS calls within 12 hours of an incident to align with the Office of EMS requirements.
Chief Ramsey said the county already uses a common reporting platform for volunteer and career departments and that the change merely codifies existing practice. He also explained the link between timely reporting and the county’s ability to receive grant funds under the state program and how pay‑per‑call reporting supports volunteer compensation and payroll processes.
No public speakers signed up. The board closed the public hearing, moved to adopt the ordinance and approved it by unanimous vote.
