Comanche council authorizes fire grant application and payment for future fireworks

Second, the council discussed a prior March 12, 2024 action to contribute $3,000 to the July 4 fireworks but took no action to rescind that prior decision. Separately, the council then approved a payment of $6,183.51 to the Comanche Area Chamber of Commerce for future fireworks displays. That payment was approved on a motion by Council Member Brayden Harris, seconded by Vice Mayor Wanda Moore, and recorded as a unanimous vote.
