Ray County commissioners signed and approved a series of land-use actions presented by Planning & Zoning staff on May 6, including conditional-use permits and several rezoning ordinances and plats.
Planning & Zoning representative Stacy Wolfe presented the land-use items; the commission approved conditional-use permits for Bennett (hardship) and DeAngelo (mobile home). Commissioners also approved rezoning ordinances PZ 25-50 (Matthew's Acres Lot 1), PZ 26-16 (New Garden School Replat Lot 2A) and PZ 26-18 (Berry Ranch Lots 1 and 2), and a set of plats including Stoney Bluff Replats Lots 3–6 and River View Acres replat, among others.
Commissioners remanded a proposed Lot 4 zoning request for Mc6 Cattle back to the Planning & Zoning Board for further review and scheduled discussion at the board’s June 1, 2026 meeting. No public contested vote was recorded for the Mc6 remand; the commission directed additional review before a final decision.
The approvals were taken as a packet rather than as roll-call debates; motions to approve were made and carried during the May 6 session. The commission did not detail conditions attached to each approval during the recorded meeting; applicants and neighbors seeking specific conditions should consult Planning & Zoning staff for the signed plats and ordinance texts.
Next steps: the Mc6 Cattle Lot 4 request will return to the Planning & Zoning Board for further consideration; the approved rezoning ordinances and plats will be reflected in county records as processed by the planning office.
