The trustee said that after discussions with Superintendent Panaka, the position listed as "code enforcement officer" should instead be titled "property maintenance code inspector" or "property maintenance inspector," because building staff are inspectors rather than officers. The trustee said he will revise the job description and place it on the May 8 committee agenda for board approval.
Separately, the trustee announced that the Plan Commission will hear an application next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. to split the Cars Inc. property at 145th and Cicero into two lots so a developer can build two small standalone commercial buildings.
