Saline County commissioners approve routine contracts, fee reports and three fund transfers

Vice Chairperson Russ Karpisek called the Saline County Board of Commissioners to order at 9:40 a.m. on July 8, 2025. The board approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of the June 24, 2024 meeting before moving into routine business.
Commissioners voted unanimously (4–0, Commissioner Stephanie A. Krivohlavek absent) to approve a consultant agreement with Family Service Association Lincoln after Anita Stougard, identified as Juvenile Diversion Program Director, presented the contract terms. The board also approved a letter of support for the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program and a maintenance agreement with Stanard Appraisal Services, Inc.
Commissioner Ray Rohrig moved and Commissioner Phil Hardenburger seconded acceptance of the engagement letter for the 2024–2025 audit, which the board approved. The board recorded approvals for several routine fee reports: County Clerk June fees of $16,174.25, Clerk of the District Court June fees of $14,155.39, and Sheriff June fees of $3,983.94. The board also approved removal of a projector from the Extension office inventory.

The board approved the claims as presented later in the meeting. The minutes include an itemized claims listing with vendors and amounts, including Beatrice Concrete ($28,102.59), JJK Construction ($57,347.06), iSolved payroll and taxes ($279,460.02), Medica insurance ($103,308.77), and many others. The board recessed for a quarterly inspection at the Law Enforcement Center and adjourned at 12:41 p.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for July 22, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Saline County Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse in Wilber.
