The Ware Selectboard voted June 18 to appoint Derek Ames as police sergeant effective June 23, 2024. The motion to appoint Ames was made by Board Member Terrance W. Smith, seconded by Board Member John J. Cascio, and passed with four votes in favor and one recusal noted for Chair Nancy J. Talbot.
