Nether Providence accepts low bid for Providence Road sidewalks, will apply for multimodal grant

The board accepted Premier Concrete's low bid of $1,277,233 for the Providence Road sidewalk project and authorized staff to apply for a multimodal transportation fund grant (deadline July 31). Commissioners noted inspection and right-of-way costs still leave an estimated shortfall and said the grant application could cover remaining work or future phases.
