Governor Bob Ferguson appeared by video during the advisory board’s June meeting and praised the campaign’s progress, saying Washington had moved from the high 40s to 36th in national FAFSA completion rankings. "In this next legislative session, I plan to propose legislation that's been approved in multiple other states that actually requires completion of the FAFSA for graduation," he said, adding that students would be able to sign an opt-out form if they chose not to complete the form.
