Jasper County supervisors move into closed session for employee evaluation

The Jasper County Board of Supervisors met in a special session at 1 p.m. Tuesday and voted to enter a closed session to conduct an employee evaluation and review confidential records tied to federal funding.

Supervisor Talsma moved, and Supervisor Cupples seconded, a motion "to enter into Closed Session at the request of Public Information Officer, Jenn Cross for an employee evaluation pursuant to Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(i) ... and Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(a)" to permit evaluation of professional competency and discussion of records required to be kept confidential.
