Susan told the board Davis currently serves as the Mille Lacs County public works county engineer, had prior experience with Sherburne County Public Works and worked for Bogart Peterson & Associates.
The committee recommended a four-year term, Grade 25, step 5 with an annual salary of $159,390, 40 hours of PTO to start and an accrual rate tied to years of service. Susan said Davis is a registered engineer in Minnesota and that the selection committee was impressed by his interview and credentials.
A commissioner moved to appoint Davis to a four-year term beginning July 13, 2026 with the recommended compensation and benefit package; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The appointment concludes the selection process and places Davis in the county's public works leadership beginning in mid-July.
