Duncanville plans multi-option solid-waste RFP; council raises concerns about curb/ alley and mobility
Public Works presented an RFP and options to reprocure solid‑waste collection and (where feasible) consolidate disposal. The schedule calls for publishing the RFP July 6, proposals due Aug 13, and a staff recommendation to council Oct 20 with a new contract target of Oct 1, 2027. Council and staff discussed cart sizes, alley vs curb collection and service options for seniors and disabled residents.
